About the Financial Education Program
Financial Education for Families during the COVID-19 Pandemic
In partnership with the Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County and O’Bee Credit Union, Family Education and Support Services will host free virtual financial education training for local families in need of help in navigating the new financial challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This short series taught by a financial professional will cover that many have struggled with during the COVID-19 pandemic including:
- Understanding your legal rights receiving Coronavirus Rental Assistance
- Common financial impacts on families during the COVID-19 Pandemic
- Evaluating your household budget
- Strategies to raise your credit score
- Creating realistic debt repayment plans
- Building your savings and retirement funds
Participants who attend all three classes will receive a completion certificate.
