The children tell their strories

For 16 years, Family Education and Support Services, in collaboration with Twin Star Credit Union, has sponsored a contest that enables children being raised by grandparents or other relatives a chance to tell their stories in a statewide contest.

Winners receive a free night with their family at Great Wolf Lodge, $100 and recognition at an awards ceremony at the Washington Governor’s Mansion.

FESS also produces a book of entries from the nearly 50 pieces of writing or art it receives.
